The Hypnos concept car was first unveiled at the 2008 Paris motor show and we can only assume the name comes from the effects of prolonged exposure to the interior! Citroen has been a brand known for producing small low cost cars and has not really had a production crossover in its line up, but the Hypnos has a great blend of luxury class style to it that would not be out of place on the top end premium brands ans shows that the manufacturer has the skills (at least in the design department) to move away from the budget end of the car market. The Citroen Hypnos features a diesel electric hybrid, with a 2.0 litre diesel engine mounted up front driving the front wheels and an electric motor fitted to the rear axle giving 4 wheel drive for extra traction.
